讲座主题/Title：On the size of certain representations

讲座摘要/Abstract: Study of the automorphic representations of linear algebraic groups constitutes the core of the Langlands program. For central covers of such groups and their genuine representations, there are challenging aspects of the theory. In this talk, we will give a brief (and inevitably biased) exposition on the relevant background and context of this, and eventually concentrate on a problem regarding the size of a certain “simplest” family of representations of covers - the theta representations.
