主讲人简介/Biography:

Huaiyu is a co-founder and CTO of Lightelligence. Lightelligence is the leading company in optics computing and demonstrated the world's first optic computer using silicon photonics. Lightelligence has raised more than 100 million USD to date and built a global team of industry veterans and PhD from top universities. Prior to Lightelligence, Huaiyu received his PhD degree in Electric Engineering from MIT, where his research focused on integrated photonics in CMOS platform for telecom, datacom, and bio-sensing applications.

讲座摘要/Abstract:

The boom of artificial intelligence raises demand for increasing computational power. As the Moore’s Law slows down and advanced CMOS processing node approaching physical limit, an alternative computation platform with potential to go beyond limit of traditional microelectronics becomes desirable. Lightelligence proposes integrated silicon photonics as a solution. In this talk, we will present our technology and achievements in this field, together with our vision for the silicon photonic community with computing as a major application.
