报告题目/Title:

Advances in Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomics and Their Application in Biomedicine

讲座摘要/Abstract:

Over the past decade, we have witnessed remarkable advances in mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics and computational biology, with AI and machine learning revolutionizing biosciences. In this talk, I'll focus on our efforts in leveraging these developments to understand cancer's molecular signatures and tissue heterogeneity using MS-proteomics. First, I introduce our open-source AlphaPept software suite, which provides a fast data analysis toolbox to the proteomics community. Then, I will discuss our recent work in MS-proteomics workflow that integrates miniaturized sample preparation, cutting-edge mass spectrometry technology with low-flow chromatography, to accurately measure thousands of proteins in single-cell analysis. Finally, our novel multidisciplinary workflow called Deep Visual Proteomics (DVP) combines high-content microscopy, AI-powered image recognition, and ultra-sensitive mass spectrometry. This integration allows us to link visual, spatial, and molecular proteomics data at a single-cell type level. We believe that the spatial resolution offered by our DVP method holds immense potential for cell type characterization in cancer, helping to pave a way towards precision oncology.
