戈惠明，1980年2月生。南京大学生命科学学院教授。1998-2007年就读于南京大学，先后获学士和博士学位，而后留校任教，并分别于2010-2012,2012-2015年在南京大学化学院和美国Scripps研究所化学系进行博士后研究。课题组主要从事天然产物的发现和生物合成研究，在包括Nature、Nat Commun、JACS、Angew Chem Int Ed等国际刊物上发表学术论文100余篇。于2015年获国家优青，2019年获国家杰青等资助，2019年获得日本化学会CSJ Distinguished Lectureship Award，2020年获第十六届中国青年科技奖。

Hui Ming Ge is a Professor at School of Life Sciences, Nanjing University. Dr. Ge studied biology in Nanjing University (School of Life Sciences) and obtained his bachelor degree in 2002 and Ph.D. degree in 2007. He did his postdoc in Nanjing University (School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering) on total synthesis of natural products, and the Scripps Research Institute (Department of Chemistry) on biosynthesis of natural products. His current research in Nanjing University focuses on the discovery and biosynthesis of complex natural products.

讲座摘要/Abstract:

天然产物是小分子化学药物和农药的重要来源，其复杂的结构和显著的生物活性有赖于生物合成过程中各类环化和氧化的修饰。报告人的研究集中于聚酮天然产物的环化和氧化过程，将通过几个天然产物合成的例子来阐明自然界中这些迷人的环化和氧化过程。

Natural products are important sources for clinical drugs and pesticides. Their complex structures and significant biological activities rely on various cyclization and oxidation modifications during biosynthesis. Our research focuses on the cyclization and oxidation of natural products of polyketide, and this lecture will illustrate these fascinating cyclization and oxidation processes in nature through several examples of natural product biosynthesis.
