讲座主题/Title：Mahler Measure of Landau-Ginzburg Potentials

讲座摘要/Abstract:

The (logarithmic) Mahler measures of an $n$-variable polynomial $p$ is defined as the arithmetic mean of $log |p|$ over the $n$-torus.

In this talk, we will survey some interesting results and conjectures (mostly due to Deninger, Boyd, Villegas, and Bertin).

We will explain its connection to mirror symmetry of Fano and Calabi-Yau varieties, and $L$-values of modular forms.

Many concrete examples on Elliptic curves and $K3$-surfaces will be given.
