个人简介


  邓力,1965年生,世界知名有机合成化学家,有机催化领域的创始者和引领者之一。1987年毕业于清华大学化学系获理学学士学位;1990年获美国威斯康辛大学密尔沃基分校理学硕士学位;1995年获哈佛大学博士学位,随后获得美国癌症协会博士后奖学金,在哈佛大学从事博士后研究。1998至2018年,历任美国布兰迪斯大学化学系助理教授、副教授(终身教职)、正教授,2005年被聘为首任Orrie Friedman讲席教授;2011-2014年担任布兰迪斯大学化学系主任。2018年加盟西湖大学,现任徐益明讲席教授,理学院执行院长及校学术委员会主任。


学术成果


  邓力教授在有机催化领域开展了原创而系统性的研究工作,取得了一系列国际同行公认具有广泛影响力的奠基性学术成果。他在Nature,J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angewandte Chemie等化学顶尖杂志上发表了多篇深远影响力的文章。他的工作得到来自于世界各地学术界同行的广泛地引用,他所发明报道的催化剂和化学反应已被应用于工业界,很多催化剂已授权给知名试剂和大制药公司开发使用。
  邓力教授还担任Nature,J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angewandte Chemie, Nature Chemistry等多家国际著名学术期刊的审稿人以及美国、 欧洲、 日本、加拿大、香港和新加坡多家学术机构及基金评审专家。他多次获奖,包括Sloan Research Fellow, JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences) Fellow,以及在华人化学家中享有盛名的The Chan Memorial Award in Organic Chemistry。
  邓力教授研究小组自2015年以来在Nature和J. Am. Chem. Soc.上报道了一系列接近生物酶效率的新型有机分子催化剂,实现了一系列高价值新反应的开发,这些成果代表了当今有机催化领域的最新进展和最高水平。他计划于西湖大学化学系建立世界一流水平的催化及合成化学研究中心。
